Chiquita Banana Sun - 2017 Solar Eclipse Stunt
Prior to the 2017 Solar Eclipse, W+K teamed up with Chiquita to announce the once-in-a-lifetime event of Chiquita creating a banana shaped sun as the moon moved between the earth and the sun. The moment was celebrated with a series of activations, including a website, thebananasun.com, serving as the hub for all things banana-sun related, a series of web films, a Chiquita chat bot on facebook messenger, a big banana OOH installation near the flatiron building in NYC, and banana shaped eclipse viewing glasses.

It took an intense knowledge of celestial bodies and an unrelenting love for bananas, but we did it. On August 21, Chiquita will move the moon in between the sun and the earth. For a fleeting moment before and after the totally overrated total solar eclipse, the sun will appear to be an enormous fiery banana.
The theremin is a space-evocative instrument that people play without touching. The banana is a delicious food item that people can't keep their hands off of. While it may seem like the two don't have a lot in common, they go together really well in this video, and around the total solar eclipse.
